ula sing and dance!

I am Juliet Capulet. My name rhymes. I am overlooked in my family because I am a girl. I am 14.

It is summer, a most troublesome time for my family, in which my cousin tybalt’s temper is always shortened by the heat. The traditional feast of Capulet is soon to be held.

I live in Verona Italy. In the eastern side of the city, I do lay my head. Many of the people here look alike, so much so that I seldom take note of them.

I am surrounded by people who wish to grasp the reigns of my life, and others who seek only to further their reputations in battle, and others still that make for a scholarly approach.

My family is very proud. We are very well known and respected. (save the respect on my part)

My relationship with those around me is pretty much the same on all parts. I feel no pity or even a spark of love from either parent. I have no respect save from servants with whom I rarely speak. My nurse is tedious, although kind and most wonderful she is at times very cruel. Yet in this cloud of existence secretly resides a Romeo. Romeo my love, Romeo my lord, Romeo, he that makes the heavens sing ere he smiles. Romeo I do love thee. He gives me equality, which is a gem that is so rarely given from man to woman.

I want respect and understanding. I want to be heard and taken seriously.

My femininity stands in my way, although I joy in the lightness of womanhood, I shall never feast on the power and respect given to that of man. My father, steals away my humanity and makes me his property as though I were a mule.

Romeo gives me that which I crave! His eyes meet mine when we speak, his smile is never patronizing, he drinks my every word and never scoffs. I find my understanding in he that shares my heart.

I will know that I have it when I can stand beside my lord and call him friend as well as lover.

*special note* no I did not steal any of these bits of words from shakespear or anyone else! This is text of my own design! It's 12:31 in the morning I'm feeling CREATIVE.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAH!
